About
Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to create and build. My mother tells me it started with LEGO. I was obsessed with the small ABS plastic pieces; the possibilities seemed endless to my four year-old brain. In the twenty three years since then, each new discovery of the available tools and mediums to bring alive my ideas has brought me to the industry of visual design.
In 2001, I joined my good friend and colleague Martin Soszka in founding Digitalfunk, a design studio. I helped build, manage and run the company for six very successful years, and I left on good terms in 2007 due to workload of my full-time design contracts.
In 2003 I founded Hachiroku.com.au, a personal community project involving the Toyota AE86 and it's fans worldwide and have worked as a Visual Media Designer for Auto Salon Magazine since 2004.
In 2011 I have left Auto Salon to pursue my own freelance work full-time. Please contact me at folio@garthivers.com.
